Sydney’s Royal Randwick racecourse epitomises the fashion and glamour that Sydney is famous for, and Tuesday’s Melbourne Cup Day meeting was no exception.
High Heels Daily was there to capture pictures of some of the awesome high heels, together with some very beautiful ladies and their lovely outfits. We’ve published over 100 pictures on our Facebook page, so be sure to check it out. Some of the most liked pictures accompany this article. Thanks to all the fans of high heels who posed for our cameras.
Beginning today, Royal Randwick is to undergo a $150 million redevelopment with the public grandstand to be demolished and replaced by a new, state-of-the-art structure. The course will also benefit from a new betting auditorium and a “Theatre of the Horse” parade ring, and the members and corporate areas will be upgraded. Our thanks to Royal Randwick for hosting us and over 25,000 racegoers on last week on one of their busiest days of the year.
Royal Randwick’s redevelopment is scheduled to finish in 2013, but the course will still host 17 meetings next year and there will be plenty of opportunities to break out the high heels. Meanwhile, for those in the Sydney area, Rosehill Gardens is hosting a Girls Day Out on Saturday 12 November 2011. Bring on the bubbles!
