How to fit heels when one foot is bigger than the other

Are you worried that one of your feet is bigger than the other? Concerned that one foot might be slightly smaller than the one beside it?

While we know that many people have slightly different sized feet, it is unlikely that you will need different sized shoes for each of them because any difference is likely to be small.

The issue can be important when it comes to fitting heels because small differences can mean that the pressure on your foot is in the wrong place in your stilettos.

The best way to avoid squashing your foot in heels is to simply should make sure that your bigger foot (if you have one) fits comfortably in the heel.

That might be your right foot, and it might be your left foot. But be careful of assuming that your right foot is bigger than your left just because you’re right handed (or vice versa). This is true for some people but not for everyone.

In a worst case scenario, you can pad the smaller foot with tissue or stick-on shoe grips.

Finally, it seems obvious to say it but you should not choose a pair of heels to fit your smaller foot. This may damage the foot that is crammed in to the smaller size.

Or, at the very least, it will hurt.
