You can’t get more eye-catching than a hologram effect – unless the holograms are on an exquisite pair of pumps. Jimmy Choo has successfully combined both with the new Abel hologram patent leather pump and one plus one here definitely equals more than two.
The Abel is Jimmy Choo’s staple four inch patent leather pump, with the so-called “ciggy heel.” It is one of the brand’s icons (featured in the CHOO 24:7 collection) and in black patent it is the classic hard-working, sensible-height Choo for around the office. The shoe comes in other colors as well, including red, light bronze glitter and black with studs.
In this latest incarnation, the color is called “petrol” to reflect the shiny hologram effect that spilled petrol gives off. The petrol hologram Abel from Jimmy Choo is available for pre-order from Saks Fifth Avenue for $625.
This is not the first time Jimmy Choo has used a hologram-like effect in its high heels. Back in the day the brand did this hologram mesh and patent peep-toe bootie with 4 3/4″ covered heel. The shoe, which was called Kier, used to be available from Bergdorf Goodman and some other online retailers. Sadly it is currently not available but if that changes we’ll let you know.
